Your monthly electric bill

Quick check

Are you paying more than $150 a month for electricity?

Then you're almost certainly paying more than you need to. That's the line where paying a solar company instead of the utility starts to come out ahead, and where ten minutes on the phone is worth your time.

Under $150: solar probably isn't worth it yet. We'll say so.$150 and up: a no-upfront-cost plan usually beats the utility.

Your bill isn't going down on its own

SDG&E customers pay 41¢ per kWh, more than double the U.S. average. And increases are already approved through 2027.

Every increase lands on the same bill you're paying today. A solar payment is the one part of it you can actually do something about.

Straight answers

The questions people actually ask.

Is this free?

Yes, all the panels, batteries, maintenance, monitoring are free at no up-front cost. The only thing you pay for is a lower fixed electricity bill.

Do I have to buy anything?

Instead of purchasing power from a utility company, one of the highest rates in the country, you are purchasing power from a solar company at a more affordable fixed price. Cash and loan options exist too. You can also just take the numbers and walk away.

Who actually installs it?

A vetted local installer we work with. Sun Group Advisors is independent and doesn't install anything.

Will you sell my information?

No. We share it with one installer partner to prepare your review, and nobody else.

What happens if I sell my house?

With a no-upfront-cost plan, the agreement typically transfers to the buyer. We also provide a service transfer coordinator to help with the process. If you'd rather own the system outright, that's an option too. Our team will walk you through both before you decide anything.

How long does this take?

About a minute for the questions, about 10 minutes for the call. An in-home review, if you want one, is usually under an hour.

One minute of questions. One call with Chris. Then you decide, with the numbers in front of you.
