Sun Group Advisors ("SGA," "we," "us," or "our") is a solar advisory service operated by Market Group Partners. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit sungroupadvisors.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We are not a solar installer. We help homeowners understand their options and connect them with a licensed installation partner. This policy covers how we handle your information in that process.
Information you give us. When you complete our form, you provide your ZIP code, electric utility, approximate monthly electric bill, whether you own your home, your full name, mobile phone number, and email address. If you are outside our service area and ask to be notified, you provide your email address.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect standard technical information: IP address, browser type and device, pages viewed, the page you came from, and the date and time of your visit. If you arrive from an advertisement, we record the campaign and ad that brought you here (for example, UTM parameters and the Meta click identifier).
Consent records. When you check the consent box on our form, we record the exact consent language you agreed to, the date and time, the page you were on, and your browser information. We keep this record to document that you gave us permission to contact you.
We use your information to review your electric bill and estimate whether solar could lower it; to call, text, or email you about your request, including by automated dialing technology or prerecorded messages where you have agreed to that; to connect you with our installation partner so they can prepare a proposal and schedule an in-home consultation; to measure and improve our advertising, including reporting a form submission back to the advertising platform that showed you the ad; to operate, secure, and improve the Site; and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
By checking the consent box on our form, you give Sun Group Advisors and our installation partner your express written consent to contact you at the phone number you provided about your solar inquiry, including by autodialed or prerecorded calls and text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
You can withdraw consent at any time. Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts, or tell us during a call that you no longer wish to be contacted. You can also call us at (619) 304-3612 or email us at the address below.
Installation partner. We share your contact information, ZIP code, utility, bill range, and homeownership answer with the licensed solar installation partner who will prepare your proposal and conduct your consultation. Our partner uses your information to contact you and evaluate your home for solar. We are compensated by our partner when a homeowner we refer proceeds with an installation.
Service providers. We use third-party companies to host the Site (Webflow), route form submissions (Make), store lead records (Google Workspace), and deliver calls and texts. These providers process your information only to perform services for us.
Advertising platforms. We use the Meta Pixel and may use similar tools from Google. These tools set cookies and collect information about your visit, and we may report form submissions back to the platform so we can measure our advertising. These platforms may use that information according to their own privacy policies.
Legal and business transfers. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization of our business.
We do not sell your information to data brokers or unrelated marketers.
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can opt out of Meta's interest-based advertising through your Facebook Ad Preferences and opt out of Google's through your Google Ads Settings. Because the Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals in a standardized way, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing where required by law.

Categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, phone, email, IP address); customer records (home ownership status, utility, bill range); commercial information (your inquiry); internet activity (pages viewed, referring ad); and inferences drawn from the above (whether your home is a candidate for solar). We collect this information directly from you and automatically from your device. We disclose it for the business purposes described above to the categories of recipients described above.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. We will verify your identity by matching the information in your request to the information we hold. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill your request and for a reasonable period afterward to document consent, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Consent records are retained for at least five years from the date of consent.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls on the systems where lead records are stored. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Site is intended for adults who own their homes. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
